Periscope One · p-one.ai

We build software for the people who keep the lights on.

Utility and industrial crews do complex, high-consequence work every day — and the organizations they work for usually find out how it went weeks later. We close that gap.

One record, four altitudes

How information moves through an operating company Four tiers, from the crew at the tailboard up through foreman and manager to the executive. A single path carries what happens in the field upward in real time, and the same path gives leadership a direct line of sight back down to the work. The problem

Most operations run on lagging indicators.

Incident reports. Near-miss logs. Post-mortems. By the time that data reaches a decision-maker, the thing it describes has already happened.

  • Briefings vary wildly from crew to crew
  • No visibility into what was actually discussed in the field
  • Coaching happens after a problem, not before
  • Performance reviews run on impressions, not evidence
  • Safety programs lose momentum weeks after launch
  • Paper forms get filed where nobody will read them

None of this is a discipline problem. It is a visibility problem, and a visibility problem is something software can genuinely fix.

How we build

Three commitments we don't trade away.

  1. 01

    Start where the work starts

The conversation before the job begins is the highest-leverage moment in a shift, and in most organizations it is the least documented. We build there first — not at the incident report, where it is already too late to change the outcome.

  2. 02

    Everyone sees the same day

A crew lead, a general foreman, a regional manager and a VP need different views of the same morning. Not the same report at four different delays. One record of what happened, resolved to each person's altitude.

  3. 03

    Configured, not generic

Your procedures, your clients' site rules, your regulatory obligations. Software that ships with someone else's safety content and hopes it fits is software your crews learn to work around.

Who builds it

We didn't start in a boardroom. We started in the field.

Our team has spent careers in demanding operational environments — from military service to utility construction sites. Over a third of the team served in the armed forces. For more than a decade, we have worked inside utilities and utility contractors as consultants, helping organizations find coaching gaps and latent weaknesses before they turn into incidents.

We kept running into the same problem from the inside, so we built the thing we could not buy.
